I cannot express enough how much I appreciate every person that has taken the time to sign this petition! In just a few short weeks we've managed to get over 3,000 signatures!
However, I am deciding to take the petition down. The Historic Zoning Commission has made it clear to me that they will never accept our petition, despite almost half of the signatures come from their very county. Mr. Sellers, The owner of Martin's Coffee & Bakery, has presented our petition to the board, but they have denied it.
Please do not think your signatures have been wasted. If it was not for the unity and hard work of each person that signed, we would have never been able to bring to light the wrong that has taken place. I personally know that I will continue to support Martin's Coffee & Bakery, and I hope that Mr. Sellers and his family are able to put this injustice past them and focus on the positivity that their little store has brought to our town.
