My husband, Darian Hall, has endured trauma inside the Missouri Department of Corrections that no human being should ever face. The environment he’s been kept in hasn’t just worsened his mental‑health diagnoses — it has created and intensified them. Instead of treatment, he has been met with isolation, abuse, neglect, harassment, and retaliation for standing up for his constitutional rights.

Administrative segregation severely exacerbates his symptoms, leading to multiple serious suicide attempts. The conditions he has endured — pepper‑spray during mental‑health crises, taunting, filthy cells, broken fixtures, no way to call for help, and retaliation after filing his lawsuit — are not isolated events. They are a pattern of harm.

And the most critical fact:
The treatment he needs to survive, DBT, does not exist in Missouri prisons.
I have a recording of Centurion admitting they have no DBT program, no DBT‑certified staff, and that he must “get what he can because he’s in prison,” even though Missouri law requires community‑standard care. Expert witnesses have warned that without real treatment, Darian will not make it to his outdate.

He is not a danger. He is a man who has been traumatized by the system around him and denied the only therapy proven to help people with his diagnoses.

Executive clemency is the only way to save his life.
He cannot survive another year in the environment that has already nearly killed him.
