These Groups Want Control of Town Council!
Greater Island Council; Chamber of Commerce; Realtors; Time-Share Interests
Look at the money they are spending on slick advertising to push their candidates.
They use positive words like affordable housing as camouflage. What they really want is growth for their business interests.
Consider the damage they have done. They stood by and did nothing as Stu Rodman repeatedly killed the rational study of the Corridor Project. They never said a word to regulate him!
We are at the last crossroad before heading toward Myrtle Beach. Pro-growth groups are advertising hard to gain control. They play hardball; trace the money and relationships.*
We need an INDEPENDENT FULL-TIME TOWN COUNCIL who will work for the public, not self-serving lobby groups!
Vote Orischak for Mayor; Becker and Brison for Town Council
* A small sample: The Greater Island Council (GIC) had a hidden relationship with the Chamber to push the Corridor Project, and then let it be controlled by Stu Rodman. In 2018, Realtors spent $180,000 to push this. Realtors also seem to be spending heavily in this election. The GIC got secret Corridor briefings. An ex-Chair of the GIC sits on Town Council. We must not let these lobby groups control our Council.
