That’s why Council Jobs Require 40 – 60 Hours per Week 

When I served on County Council, these plans arrived at my home a few days prior to an important vote. County staff recommended approval. I spent hours analyzing the documents and realized the plan contained a hidden density increase and a ploy that would set a terrible precedent.  When you only work part-time at Council, there is a huge temptation to let staff and lobbyists pre-chew these things to help out with your homework. That is how some of our current projects got into big trouble!!!

We need a FULL-TIME COUNCIL that has the time and integrity to fully do their homework, and not rely on The Chamber, Greater Island Council, Realtor, or Time Share groups to ‘guide’ their thinking.

We need a FULL-TIME TOWN COUNCIL who will work for the public, and not self-serving lobby groups!
