Petition update
Mark Driscoll did speak at Hillsong Australia Conference
Jun 30, 2015 — Yesterday was the start of the Hillsong Australia Conference. After Brian Houston's statement that Mark Driscoll would not be "coming to Australia or the UK to attend Hillsong Conference", it seems the truth was in the semantics.
Mark Driscoll, alongside his wife Grace, did not attend the conference, but a pre-recorded interview with them conducted by Brian Houston was played yesterday on the opening day of the conference.
Many will be deeply saddened by the approach of Brian Houston, firstly the PR statement and then the interview still taking place, albeit pre-recorded. It is sad to know that it is the letter and not the spirit of Brian Houston's words that we should have trusted.
Please feel free to continue to share and sign this petition. Over the next couple of weeks I will be planning a protest at the Hillsong Europe Conference in London. It takes place on 22nd - 24th July at the O2. If you would like to join me, please email: befreeuk@gmail.com.
I will send out a further campaign update once all the protest details have been organised. If you would like to support the protest but can't attend, please feel free to get in touch.
As ever, this campaign has been about standing with those Mark Driscoll hurt, if you do pray, please hold in prayer those who continue to be hurt by Mark Driscoll's actions.
Thank you,
Natalie
