Understandably, these acts should be sickening to anyone who reads them, but for our youth to think this is okay, or that by a certain age, this shouldn't, at least be treated with the utmost gravity is beyond reprehensible. What type of world is it that you aren't treated like a citizen, a U.S. citizen fairly? What type of example does that set, what precedent does that set for our judicial system? The females should be shown the same leniency that a male would be. That is, none. Taking advantage of another, especially one who's mental faculties are not on par with theirs, should not be treated as "whimsical folly" or "just learning to be adults", everyone and anyone who commits such heinous acts should be made an example of. No one should get away with such mistreatment, and anyone of rational mind should be able to see how lenient their sentence was, how this is allowing one to "get over" on the judicial system, based on how one was born.
