We would just like to take this time to thank everyone who signed, shared or even viewed this petition. The Highland Councils meeting on this was yesterday, and I believe Alister MacKinnon and Angela MacLean voted in favour of the Road Bumps, with Margaret Paterson and Graham MacKenzie (who had the casting vote) thankfully voting against. The Road Safety team now have until mid-December to come up with an alternative plan (hopefully they will take into account that peoples properties are affected by their plans) but after a Road Safety team member telling us that the islands were now viewed as a 'mistake' by their team, we have to wonder how they can possibly keep them? And what alternatives they have, as Speed Cameras can only be installed by the Police.
Anyway, my family and Burn Place as a whole are very grateful to all the support we have received by you all, and a special thank-you to Scott from the Highland News Group who has been very supportive, and of course, Margaret and Graham for their votes, they are truly looking out for Dingwalls best interests!
