Hello everyone,
Thank you for all your support, the petition has made the front page of the North Star this week, Kate Forbes' office been made aware of the plans, as has Ian Blackfords and Nicola Sturgeons. Kate Forbes' office has asked to be kept informed on the matter, including all correspondence we've had with the Highland Council on this so far.
Sadly though, the Highland Council's legal team have said they will not count this petition as it goes against their 'regulations', so if possible can you please email Road.Safety@highland.gov.uk with an objection, the more the better as the I have heard that they are genuinely concerned by the resistance they have faced on this so far.
In saying that, I still believe that signing and sharing this petition will show the HC how much ill feeling there is regarding this, so lets keep it going too!
