At One Planet Summit 2017 in Paris, French President said : "we are not winning this battle. This is not unacceptable". Two years later, neither France nor Germany are winning the war on climate change.  Coal power plants are still being built in Germany and France has delaye d the closure of its coal power plants from 2020 to 2022.
