Dear Neighbors,
The Plan Commission is currently scheduled to vote on the PUD this Monday, June 17, at 6:30 pm at the Town Hall, 1100 West Oak St.
PLEASE ATTEND!
BEFORE THEN, PLEASE:
1. visit this Facebook page for valuable information about the PUD https://www.facebook.com/share/U16yzYj6AfL9WJfD/?mibextid=LQQJ4d
2. Invite your friends to the meeting, arrange childcare, please come!
3. Of you feel comfortable, prepare to speak at the meeting on the reasons you do not want the PUD (the Facebook page has many additional facts not in this petition) - can be short, we just need numbers to show up and speak up!
4. call the Mayor's office and record your displeasure at the current plan
5. AND call your Town Council representative and tell him or her you want a "no vote" on the PUD from them (Town Council votes if Plan Commission approves)
The Mayor asked for a continuance last meeting, so it wasn't voted on. A continuance has been requested for this meeting as well, but not yet granted.
Note that there is a Plan Commission member Chris Lake, who has a conflict of interest. He is a partner in Delv, one of the companies that designed the PUD proposal. He should recuse himself or, preferable, resign from the Plan Commission since this will be an ongoing conflict.
We still have many questions unanswered by the Mayor and requests for changes to the PUD rejected or ignored. We will consider the PUD when those questions are answered satisfactorily and revisions are made to the PUD.
Please share the Facebook page and see you Monday night!
Strong numbers send a strong message. Weak numbers tell the Mayor and Plan Commission they have a green light.
Thank you for supporting this effort to retain the charm of the Village!
