Hi all,
We had posted an update when we reached 250 supporters with the promise to update you again at 500, but this petition has grown so fast that we completely missed 500! Thank you for your support.
In order to keep up the pressure on Hershey's to eliminate single-use plastic wrappers, our next goal is to reach 1,500 supporters. Each time we update you, we'll let you know about one thing you can do to help, as well as one thing we're doing to ensure that this petition will be successful.
One thing you can do: Add a reason for signing! Once you’ve signed this petition (we welcome you to do so now if you haven’t done so yet), you can leave a comment or reason for signing. Not only do these comments show people that our campaign is active, but we will be featuring some of your comments on our social media channels to further raise awareness of this petition. Thank you in advance for leaving a “reason for signing“ below.
One thing we’re doing: Earlier this week, we were unfortunately blocked on Facebook and Instagram (Facebook owns Instagram). This means that we/you are unable to share links to AquariumKids.org or to this change.org petition on either platform. We have reached out to Facebook so that we can fix this issue as soon as possible. In the meantime, you can still share this petition on other platforms.
Again, thank you for your support. As we mentioned in our last update, Hershey's was successfully petitioned by 25,000 change.org supporters like us in 2012 to stop using child labor. Precedent shows that Hershey is willing to listen to the public; your support is crucial to convince Hershey's to eliminate single-use plastics.
Best,
Evan Baldonado
