Recently Bettina Arndt was bestowed an Australian Day honour. We believe due to her continual stance on defending and championing paedophiles, blaming women for their own sexual assaults and incidences of saying a child was sexually provocative lead to their own assault that she is an unworthy recipient of this award. 

Someone given to such beliefs and making statements to the public that rape and paedophilia are acceptable and that victims are some how at fault is unconscionable and morally repugnant.

Such statements go to further hurt survivors of child sexual assault,  rape survivors and victims of paedophiles . 

We ask that she be immediately stripped of the honour and in future  full background checks of recipients be conducted.
