End cold sandwiches for kids in Henry County Schools for late lunch balances.
The Issue
Hello Neighbors,
Did you know when parents fall behind on Henry County school lunch balance kids are forced to eat cold sandwiches at Henry County schools. We are calling on the Henry County School Board to end the meal cutoff policy for overdue lunch balances serving kids cold sandwich daily. We want all kids to have a hot meal regardless of ability to pay.

In the meantime please support the Community Development For Real People (501c3 nonprofit) campaign to pay off late student lunch balances so additional children can enjoy hot nutritious lunches daily, no more cold sandwiches. No child should be denied a hot meal in Henry County period but that is the official Henry County Schools policy when school lunch balances fall behind. Every child should enjoy a hot nutritious meal regardless of ability to pay! While we work to change this flawed policy please help us restore hot meals to students in Henry County. High School students cannot charge lunch at all without credit of debit card funds
Kids with no money could mean no lunch or a cold cheese sandwich. For high school aged kids that could mean no lunch at all. Help Community Development For Real People (CD4RP) pay off delinquent lunch balances at various Henry County schools so children will be removed from restricted cold lunches only to hot nutritious meals. One elementary school alone has a nearly $700 balance with numerous kids not receiving hot lunches or breakfast daily. A high school student with no money cannot charge lunch in Henry County? They may be offered a cold cheese sandwich, apple and milk.
No judgement or blame here, we just want to payoff the lunch balances so every child can have lunch or breakfast. Almost every school in the area has this issue with parents paying late and kids being cutoff. Let’s payoff these balances so every child can have a hot meal! The total balances at all the schools are thousands of dollar and we will attempt to pay off one school at a time for the next 30 days.
