Henley-in-Arden is a small town with a community at its heart. Offering many facilities to both local residents and visitors alike is essential to ensure a bright inclusive future for our town. The very basic of human rights must be upheld and disabled access to one of our town's most valuable facilities is something that should be readily available.

We ask our Beaudesert & Henley-in-Arden Joint Parish council, Stratford-on-Avon District Council and our MP Nadhim Zahawi to prioritise the need to provide and maintain safe suitable disabled access to our towns allotment plots.

After living in Henley for over 39 years my own son, aged 16, due to health complications began losing his mobility. We suddenly became aware of the reduced opportunities within our community for those with disabilities. This experience has prompted me to speak up for those living with limited opportunities due to the inaction of local councils to provide suitable facilities.

The benefits of being outside, in spaces such as community allotments are widely known, bringing improvements to physical, mental & emotional well-being. These opportunities must be made available to all our local residents, especially those who would benefit most.
