February 28th Event to Honor the Trees at Shoop and Planning Commission votes No

Please join us on Saturday, February 28th at 1:00pm to honor the trees at Shoop Park. Bring your stories, poems, prayers and songs to share or just attend and enjoy being together. You’re invited to bring flowers or another natural object to leave as an offering for the trees before you go. Please meet at the flagpole just north of the clubhouse.
The Wind Point Planning Commission voted no on the proposal to lease land west of the Lighthouse for a parking lot last Thursday. The vote was 5-2 against. The board will most likely vote on this next month. Please get in touch with them to express your point of view if you feel called to do so. We should protect this magnificent property.
Lastly, please start writing letters to the editor to the Racine Journal Times. They are not writing anything about this destructive proposal. I sent in two letters last fall which weren’t published. They also haven’t published the notice I sent in for the event in the 28th and they haven’t gone to any Wind Point meetings (3 so far) to report on what happened. Please do what you can to push them into reporting on this important community issue! Thank you ♥️ 🌳
Please note: the Racine County Eye did publish my letters. Thanks to WGTD in Kenosha and WTMJ in Milwaukee for covering this story
Until next time ♥️
