Good Evening Please Share Please Sign We have reached 600 very good I was out to inventorying Dead Boats for disposal up in Sidney, with Ian Bruce and Tim Johnston. Came home to have a bit of a break, stopped at an intersection to watch a person cutting concrete at a new development, ongoing in Victoria BC , The individual dressed in the right attire, work gloves, boats, helmet, glasses, moisture bib, and air filtration mask. Observed for a fare amount of time, proper setup, content a water hose to the power saw, turn on hose start concrete saw and get to work. So what wrong with this picture of many, sat there for quite a while observing, called the City got put to answering service, the lad finished, washed down the power concrete saw, then proceed to wash the back of the truck and the concrete sludge down the storm drain. Took some pictures and continued on my day, on the way home stopped to take some more pictures, a cement truck was parked there, load already emptied, but and there is always a but, the truck operator was washing the concrete trailings down, you guess it the storm drain. The storm drain has the " leads to a fish bearing stream " molded right into it. Concrete entering in this case the Harbour is an instant fish and species kill, never mind the long term damage to the water column and sediments.
