🐷 HELP US SAVE PIGLET — KEEP HER HOME IN WHEATLEY! ❤️

To: Mayor and Members of Chatham-Kent Municipal Council

We are asking our community to help us keep our beloved mini pig, Piglet, at home with her family in Wheatley, Ontario.

Piglet has been part of our family for approximately five years. She is much more than a pet to us. She is a cherished member of our family and has become a special part of our community, too.

Over the years, children and families have visited Piglet and formed their own special connections with her. These visits have created wonderful memories, and it means so much to see the happiness she brings to people. Piglet is loved by our family and by community members who have come to know her.

On October 24, 2026, animal control attended our property and issued a 30-day notice to remove Piglet because of concerns about keeping a mini pig in a non-agricultural area.

We understand that municipal bylaws exist for a reason, and we want to work respectfully with the Municipality of Chatham-Kent. We are asking Council to consider our individual circumstances and whether a fair, lawful solution could allow Piglet to remain with the family who loves and cares for her.

We are willing to discuss reasonable conditions, a permit, an exemption, or another lawful arrangement that Council may be able to consider. If no individual option is available, we ask Council to consider whether a broader bylaw change may be appropriate.

Our request is simple: please give Piglet and our family a fair opportunity to find a solution that allows her to stay home.

We ask Mayor and Council to listen to the many residents who care about Piglet, consider the community support behind this petition, and explore all available options before requiring her removal.

Please sign and share this petition to show Chatham-Kent Council how much Piglet means to our family and community.

Every signature matters. Every share helps. Please help us save Piglet and keep her home in Wheatley. ❤️🐷
