20/12/2018  Feedback from National Social Development is that it cannot grant an extension for public comments. Only Cabinet can. Cabinet is in recess. If we do nothing and the amendments go through the next stage "as-is", thousands of vulnerable children in South Africa could remain unparented and institutionalized - and without the protective care that adoptive families can provide. We currently have over 8000 signatories. Please continue sharing this petition so we can reach 10 000 - or more. Professionals, non profits and others working with children must be allowed to give input. Recent Constitutional Court precedent is on our side!
