I share this as a student deeply concerned with Bossier Parish Community College’s teaching standards in Natchitoches, LA. A certain instructor has been consistently underperforming in their duty, displaying clear unprofessionalism that is damaging the quality of our education. This includes maliciously pushing to getting a more qualified and competent colleague dismissed, inaccurately logging students' attendance hours, and consistently not being present during expected hours.

This kind of behavior severely undermines the value of the learning experience. According to the US Department of Education, professional ethics and integrity play a significant role in the success of students (ED, 2020). With such brazen disregard for their duty, this instructor is denying us the opportunity for the quality education we deserve and that is ensured to us by the Education Trust Act of Louisiana.

The mentioned offenses are not minor. They alter the faith we place in our educational systems and in their ability to prepare us for our future careers. We need to uphold the standard of education in Natchitoches and ensure our educators are held to account. The dismissal of this instructor should be a first step in ensuring we restore faith in our college's commitment to high-quality education.
