We are getting very close to 1000 supporters, just 77 left to go. It will likely reach a thousand in the next few days.

Once we reach 1000 I will send off another message to parliament.

There is an international defence coalition of more than 40 countries in support of Ukraine. New Zealand is one of these countries.

The combined economic and military might of these 40 countries is truly enormous. These countries possess everything that is required to enable Ukraine to win.

As a member of this group of countries New Zealand has a moral obligation to do everything it can to help Ukraine win, and win quickly. The faster Ukraine wins the less people will die and the sooner the war crimes will stop. Also it will help to unlock the grain that Ukraine cannot deliver to the world because it’s ports are blocked by Russia.

This is why this petition exists. It is important to keep applying pressure to our governments to do as much as possible. Democratic governments do listen to their people.
