Dear Supporters,

Students and the people of Bangladesh have ousted the illegitimate Government. They are on their way to establish democracy in Bangladesh.

To establish a better democracy, checks and governance Bangladesh needs a President directly elected by the people of Bangladesh.

In current parliamentary democratic system the Members of the Parliament (MP) are elected by the people, and the party that wins majority of MPs support forms the Government. The ruling party select the President of the country. In recent years it is proven that the selected puppet President of the ruling party acted like a banana tree and failed to act at the critical situations of Bangladesh.

A directly elected President would have accountable to the people of Bangladesh and not to a party. This will pave the way to establish a better democracy in Bangladesh.
