Malmö is a multicultural city where different religions, cultures and ethnicities are living side by side, but very separate lives. We are now working to manifest a neutral meeting place where we all can meet, learn to know each other and exchange experiences and stories to find new solutions, which in turn promotes mutual respect and greater security. There is no such place in Sweden today. Malmö, Sweden and Europe are now witnessing an increase in xenophobia and fear – the House of Peace is a counterbalance to this. Together, we want to shape our house, which provides opportunities for both ourselves and for the city to grow – together.

The initiative is supported by representatives from Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Baha'i, the Sami people, school / college, culture, sector and municipality.
