HELP THE PARCEL DELIVERY DRIVERS AT GOBOLT WHO WERE FIRED DURING UNION NEGOTIATIONS!
The Issue
On September 28, GoBolt (Bolt Technologies) ruthlessly fired over 20 delivery drivers and team leads after they voted 26-2 to join Teamsters Local Union 938 earlier this year. The unionized members and the company were in the middle of collective bargaining when the decision to “restructure” their operations came into effect and as a result, the entire workforce was fired.
With its fleet of electric trucks, GoBolt paints itself as a progressive and environmentally-friendly last-mile delivery company. But, many of us had major concerns over vehicle safety, job security, unfair discipline, and our pay, that went unheard for months on end. We decided to join a union to help us right these wrongs and to make GoBolt a better place to work.
At the moment, Teamsters Local Union 938 is actively pursuing every legal avenue to get us reinstated and secure a collective agreement. “This fight isn’t just about reinstating jobs. It’s about preserving the sanctity of collective bargaining, respecting our rights as Canadian workers, and dignity in the workplace,” says François Laporte, President of Teamsters Canada.
GoBolt CEO Mark Ang is undermining our ability to represent ourselves through a union.
We call on GTA's workers and unions to show their support for worker unions and democracy by signing our petition!
