Wallows are an indie rock band from Los Angeles made up of Dylan Minnette, Braeden Lemasters, and Cole Preston. They rose to prominence in the late 2010s, boosted by Minnette’s lead role as Clay Jenson in Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why and the viral success of their hit “Are You Bored Yet? (featuring Clairo)” during the rise of 2019 bedroom pop. Blending nostalgic 90s alternative with modern indie pop, Wallows have since grown into a staple indie band with acclaimed albums like Nothing Happens and Tell Me That It’s Over. 

Wallows have around 7.2 million monthly listeners and even if you aren’t aware of them by name you definitely have seen or heard something from them once; wether its a TikTok edit or a video of them on tour.  The atmosphere at any of their concerts is unbeatable, from Minnette’s walk though the pit to always changing setlist to the unmatched energy of the fans. 

Rutgers in the spring is a perfect time to bring together students at Beats on the Bank to vibe to amazing summery music. Wallows are lyrically a wonderful band for endings and musically for new beginnings.
