Dear Supporters,

Just before Christmas we were made aware that the proposed Thrift Solar Farm Scheme will be put before the planning B committee at Epping Forest District Council at 7pm on the 21st of January 2026. At this stage we don't have the planning officers' report and so can't comment directly on his recommendations but we would urge those of you who have not formerly written to the council to do it now as this is the last chance for your views to be registered. As we approach the meeting we will seek to put our views across to councillors' so they are aware of the the breadth of opposition to a solar scheme in this location.

We would also ask for as many supporters as possible to attend the meeting so that the weight of objections is felt by the councillors' charged with making this decision on such an important part of the Essex Countryside. Further updates will be posted over the coming weeks as more information comes to light.
