Dear Cash App, Block. Inc. (formerly Square, Inc.) CEO and Leadership

Mr. Jack Dorsey (CEO) and Board of Directors of Block, Inc.:

We urgently plead for you to immediately provide better systems and procedures to fully inform, educate and protect consumers and help prevent the countless number of fraudulent scams associated with Cash App and other related money transfer products. 

Recent data from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) shows 2.8 million fraud reports are filed annual by U.S. consumers - fraud loses increased 70% in 2021 to more than $5.8 billion.

On behalf of over 80 million Cash App customers, we ask you to make substantive changes for safety and accountability.  Cash App had a profit of over $2 Billion dollars - please reinvest to improve the user experience and satisfaction.

Implement better safeguards and more rigorous systems to locate, identify and hold the scam artists accountable who use CashApp to defraud and steal money from consumers.  Require some form of authentication and way to track the person and back account of the person you are sending funds to via Cash App. 

Protect your customers.  We urge you to improve Cash App Support and create more ways to recognize and avoid scams.
