🙏 Quick Update on Lissa’s Case (June 6, 2025)

Lissa’s first immigration court hearing (called a Master Hearing) is now set for June 12th at 8:00 AM at Eloy. Her legal team — Attorney Ami Hutchinson and Paralegal Karla Gomez — will be representing her. Jesse Evans-Schroeder is also overseeing the case behind the scenes due to its complexity.

This first hearing is just the start — the second, bigger hearing (Individual Hearing) will be scheduled after this, and that process can take several months.

Separately, we were able to get in touch with a local Rabbi through Chabad (a Jewish outreach and community organization), and they connected us with Aleph, a Jewish humanitarian organization that will help deliver Kosher and safe food to Lissa, as the conditions and food in the detention center have been making many people sick.
