Please attend today’s Outdoor Open House at UC High School at 6:00 p.m, followed by an Indoor Meeting at 7:00 p.m. This Open House is our opportunity to finally come together in person to learn about the City's proposals for North and South University City, ask questions and provide feedback.The indoor meeting will be livestreamed on Facebook by the UCCA.
From 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., there will be an informal outdoor Open House with displays to view and city staff available for questions. Starting at 7:00 p.m. there will be an indoor meeting discussing public spaces.
Thank you for staying informed and for supporting our community during this challenging community plan update process! We are so relieved that all of our efforts paid off with the City withdrawing the proposed upzoning of single-family residential housing in University City. However, there is still much work to be done. Much of the community remains unaware that the Community Plan Update contains proposals for major shopping center expansion in South UC and huge increases to housing and office space in North UC.

Part 1: 6:00-7:00 p.m. Open House in exterior courtyard with City Project Team
- View Planning Department displays of proposals for huge development increases in the University Community Plan area, both north and south of Rose Canyon.
- Ask questions of staff, provide your feedback.
Part 2: 7:00-9:00 p.m. Plan Update Subcommittee Meeting in the Theater
- City staff will present "Public Space Opportunities", followed by discussion.
