Why am I doing this?

So people have been asking why I started a petition to save the Nicholaus building when the city and metroplex claim they plan on moving forward (no dates given) with repairs. Well, maybe we can all remember the Silver Diner on Erie Blvd, just feet behind the Nicholaus building. It was a little dining car Diner that was fashioned from a 1918 rail car. It sat in the same place for 72 years and now it's gone. These diners are quickly becoming extinct and we had an opportunity to save one.
