We're now up to 1,592 signatures on our petition to save the Lungs of Leichhardt urban forest! Let's keep sharing the petition to hit 2000!
This week, the Inner West Council are conducting 'Engagement Sessions' on their proposed rezoning. It is important that as many concerned members of the local community as possible attend to air their concerns regarding the biodiversity and ecological loss that will come from allowing the urban forest and backyard habitat to be destroyed.
Locations and Times for the Taverners Hill engagement sessions:
- TODAY At 3-5 pm on Monday 27 November, at the Haberfield Centre and Library, Michael Maher Room (78 Dalhousie Street, Haberfield).
- 6.30-8.30pm on Thursday 30 November, at Kegworth Public School
(60 Tebbutt St, Leichhardt) - Plus a general session that will also include Leichhardt and Kings Bay/Croydon planning changes: Wednesday 6 December 2023,
7-8.30pm, at Leichhardt Town Hall, Reception Room (Corner of Marion and Norton Streets, Leichhardt).
Session Format: a presentation from Council staff (Strategic Planning team) as well as the opportunity to ask questions.
