HELP SAVE OUR OLIVIA (SOW 8416) - VICTIM OF HORRIFIC BESTIALITY AT MIDLAND BACON, AS SEEN ON ABC 7.30 REPORT
Help us rescue the sow (female pig) who was r*ped by a man at Midland Bacon, Victoria, last month.
The shocking footage exposed on the ABC 7.30 Report on the 11th of March, has left many Australians and animal lovers worldwide in disbelief and anger.
The footage, which was obtained by Farm Transparency Project, revealed a mother pig being r*ped while trapped inside her farrowing crate at Midland Bacon piggery.
The man waits until everyone leaves for the day, and the lights are switched off. He then approaches Olivia, penetrating her with his hands. He proceeds to pull down his pants, and penetrate her with his penis. He r*pes her for over 5 minutes.
Confined by a farrowing crate, Olivia was unable to escape.
Though, she tried to.
A crime of this nature could only occur in an environment of cruel confinement and a culture of normalised animal abuse.
According to RSPCA Australia (2019), over 90% of sows in Australia are confined in farrowing crates during birth and nursing periods - conditions that are inherently stressful for these animals.
Our Olivia, who was victim to this heinous crime, deserves a life free from harm and fear. Peanuts Well-being Sanctuary in NSW have kindly offered to take her in. We know from experience that they can provide her with the love, respect, and care she has always deserved… but even more so, after this recent traumatic experience.
We have an opportunity to save her.
Please sign this petition to urge Midland Bacon to release sow 8416 into the care of Peanuts Well-being Sanctuary immediately.
Allowing her to live out the remainder of her days in peace, and safety, is the absolute minimum they can do.
