On Feb 23, the association was able to meet with Dr. Green and he granted the club the opportunity to use the rodeo space in the coming months. However, we need to prepare it for events! We will host a Zoom meeting on Thursday, March 2 @ 7 PM to brainstorm fundraising options, set a preliminary calendar of events, and organize service workdays to get the space safe for boarders and event attendees.
One big goal from the club is to fundraise for an August rodeo – The NW Horseman's Association will need YOUR help to get there with a series of smaller, financially successful events beforehand! The club can help obtain the space and insure events but need your expertise in organizing/hosting the volume of barrel races, horse shows, and clinics needed on this abbreviated timeline. Please come with your calendar in hand so we can work through a calendar of events for the arena! If you know horse folks/organizations who would aid us in this project, please tag them on our Facebook Update or pass along their contact info as we would love to get as many diverse groups into that space to showcase its potential.
Thursday's zoom session will be the launching point for these conversations if you'd like to have a voice with the club and boarders we encourage everyone to attend. If you cannot, we will make meeting minutes available after and continue to post updates both on our Facebook page and petition.
