Dear All,

Thank you for all the support your poured into hedgehogs last week - it had a profound impact. Not least was the petition cresting 700,000 - which now makes me think a dream of 750,000 is not impossible ... have any of you got some imaginative ideas as to how we could spread the word further? We have already got 1% of the UK signed up - which is mind-blowing ... but how to get the other 99%? Please leave thoughts here or join the discussion on the Hedgehog Highways Facebook group.

But to business - a brand new hedgehog project has just been launched by the Hedgehog Street campaign - Hedgehogs After Dark. All our hedgehog highways have had the brilliant effect of allowing hedgehogs into our gardens - and this opens up more than just the gardens - it opens up the potential to collect some interesting information about what hedgehogs are getting up to. So - if you have a trail camera or other device for recording hoggy goings on, set it up, log onto the project ... and there is even a prize!!

There is more news too - during Hedgehog Awareness Week another developer came out as hedgehog friendly! A&J Stephen of Perth have committed to installing hedgehog highways in its developments. And ... this is where you all come in ... this happened because a member of the public got in touch with the developers and introduced them to the concept. So a massive thank you to Elaine Bannerman of Scone!

And finally - a quick update on various recordings from last week in case you have finished Netflix!!

If you have missed out on seeing me deliver a talk ... there is a solution! I made a film of me doing a talk (with my wife) - here it is.

I was interviewed for Talk: Wildlife and NaturePod. A couple of outings with the wonderful Chris Packham - and a session with Robin Ince as well!

I plan to leave you alone for a while now ... I feel you have been bombarded enough ... but ... if anything new pops up I will write again.
