First of all - I wish you a Happy New Year - got so excited in the last update that I forgot my manners! And thank you for all your support and the (mostly) kind words that you leave - I do hope you get alerted when I respond - I can't to all, but that is a testament to the volume, not a comment on the quality.

I truly never believed we would get this far - I was thrilled that we might be able to present those in power with evidence of 10,000 concerned individuals ... then 100,000 ... then 250,000 ... how about a third of a million? Now we are on course for 500,000. But this last bit will take some work ... we need to break out of our usual circles to get the additional 64,000 signatures ... so my new year request ... share the petition again, but actively think about the sorts of people who would not normally sign up ... and ask them to share as well.

Thank you - and in return for your hard work on this campaign, evidence that some people (my wife) think I might be pushing things a little too far ... that tea towel is going to become my banner!
