I promised a cute hedgehog photo when we reached 100,000 - and now we are at 200,000 ++++ so here is the photo (this is a hedgehog that was about to be released from Little Foxes rescue in Oxfordshire).

This level of support is amazing and makes me realise that the work I am starting to do with the campaign HedgeOX is really going to take off. The website only went live yesterday and is a bit rough and ready - but it will improve.

The essence of HedgeOX is simple - we get people engaged in the Hedgehog Street campaign - making holes between gardens. We talk to developers to make sure that new build features hedgehog highways - and then I start to find the gaps ... often these will be on farmed land, so I will be talking to the farming community, identifying lines we can develop to connect up hedgehog communities that already exist.

This is the essence of my latest book - Linescapes - which in turn built on my first hedgehog book, A Prickly Affair. Both will give you an idea of how we can help - and perhaps more importantly, why we should care.

Thank you for all your support - and lets see if we can get to a quarter of a million (sounds bigger than 250,000 I think) - so share and share!

best wishes

Hugh
