In an attempt to shed light on how egregious Taira’s sentence really is I will continue listing similar crimes that receive much shorter sentences. This particular crime, shows a woman trying to injure police with intent, whereas in Taira’s no intent was present. The sentences do not even compare either 6-7 years with early release possible or 40 for Taira with possible early release not coming until 20 years in.
