My sister and her family have been trying to come to Canada to escape the Taliban invasion since 2021. Only one problem. Her family left just 2 weeks before that date that would make them eligible to immigrate to Canada under refugee status. As a result, they are stuck in Tajikistan with a fear of being deported, and living off of the money from her extended family in Canada. This cannot continue much longer because we are running out of resources, and the Canadian government gives us no answers, besides telling us to "be patient". It is difficult to be patient when my sister lives in the fear of her family getting deported and they cannot even earn their own living, or send their children to school. Therefore, by signing, you help to bring awareness to this cause and we ask that the Canadian government make an exception in this case because of the fact that her application has been processed already, and we are stuck in this place with no movement- and only fear.
