The Widow's Tax is Axed! Finally, after almost 20 years of bills, thanks to the efforts of Senator Doug Jones, AL, Senator Susan Collins, ME, Congressman John Yarmuth, KY and Congressman Joe Wilson, SC, our bill sponsors aided by my Facebook Group Military Widows: SBP-DIC Offset, The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, MOAA, VFW and people who signed this petition, the bill was included in the final version of the National Defense Authorization Act and signed into law. 

I am beyond thrilled and happy that now over 65,000 military widows will be paid the survivor benefits that our spouses earned as a benefit of employment, and purchased not only with income but with their lives.
