Friends,
Yesterday, I received Bob Malm’s responses to my requests for admission. Amazingly, Bob denied being a perjurer, despite the fact I guarantee you he has no evidence to back up his claim that my mom, or someone claiming to be her, contacted him repeatedly for appointments.
Hand-in-hand with this is another development, which is that I have sued parishioner Kelly Gable for defamation per se. This happened after perjuring priest Bob Malm’s attorney provided me with a document in which Kelly claims I embezzled money from an employer. I immediately offered Kelly the opportunity to document her claim or retract it, but hearing nothing back from her I filed suit shortly after noon today.
I have to admit to being gobsmacked. I knew Grace was toxic, but I never imagined things at the church were that ugly.
What’s sad about this situation is that the diocese could have long ago acted as an honest broker, thus avoiding the need for things to reach this point. That said, the fact that even now the diocese is attempting to defend its conduct speaks volumes to its real priorities, which consistently focus on protecting the organization versus doing what’s right.
But given what I know of The Episcopal Church, no surprises there.
Attached is a copy of Kelly’s email.
