My name is Samy Abu Shawish, a father of four children, a healthcare quality specialist, and a survivor of the devastating Gaza war. My wife, Nariman, is a women's health specialist dedicated to improving maternal and reproductive healthcare. Together, we have devoted our careers to enhancing healthcare services and patient safety. Now, we are seeking your help to rebuild our lives and ensure a brighter future for our family. The war has taken everything from us — our home, our security, and our sense of stability. We have endured unimaginable hardship, but we are determined to start over.

I have a deep passion for education, and my dream is to complete my PhD in healthcare quality and management to continue my mission of improving healthcare systems. My wife also wishes to continue her work in women's health, helping vulnerable communities access better care. However, the war has left us without the resources to do so. I have been pursuing humanitarian migration to Australia since 2023, but unfortunately, my application has not yet been prioritized. The trauma of the war and its impact on my family has not been fully considered in the migration process.

This petition is a call for support in the form of financial contributions that will help us:

Leave Gaza and rebuild our lives and our children's future.
Complete my PhD studies in healthcare quality and management, allowing me to secure a job and continue improving healthcare services.
Enable my wife to continue her work in women's health, ensuring better care for mothers and children.
Offer our children the opportunity to heal from the horrors of war and receive the education and skills they need to thrive.
Support the creation of a secure and peaceful future for our children, far from the destruction of Gaza.
