We are still fighting to help Joey! Recently, his lawyer filed a motion to withdraw, since my brother has not accepted any plea. This is completely devastating since our family has invested several thousand dollars for a lawyer that was not effective in getting my brother released from prison. They expected my brother to accept a plea bargain and be done with it - but my brother will not accept for something he did not do! He will now be represented by a new lawyer, one that will be appointed by him from the Public Defenders Office in Puerto Rico. Let us please keep passing on the petition and get his immediate release! Pass the petition and fundraiser along!
