At Toronto Marriott Markham, I was groomed, coerced, and silenced.
My abuser, Joshua Fernandes and others like him, were promoted by our employer: Marriott International.
When was younger, I gave him over $15,000 in financial support. He would fantasize about me being raped. He continued to hurt me (physically and emotionally). He forced me into excessive shifts while sick. I was denied medical accommodations while on heavy medication. And then I was punished and discarded.

But the abuse didn’t end in the office.
Because when I spoke up? Marriott International sent their lawyer to intimidate me. Even now, while criminal investigations are active for lying in court and an Ontario arrest warrant has been issued, Joshua holds a leadership role at Delta Hotels by Marriott in Prince Edward Island.

• A public apology from Marriott for their inaction and enabling behavior
• A full external review of Marriott's workplace harassment policies
• A formal commitment to support survivors of workplace abuse without retaliation
• Financial compensation for the emotional, physical, and professional harm caused
