This is the response I received from Essex CC:

“Unfortunately, I must advise that schemes of this nature would previously have been considered through the Local Highways Panel (LHP) process. However, the LHPs are due to be disbanded in April 2027 and their capital budgets have now been fully allocated. As a result, there is currently no funding mechanism available through this process to progress new highway improvement schemes of this nature.”

So if LHP are disbanded where has that money been swallowed up into ? And how are residents supposed to make their roads safer ? Please write comments if you wish .
