Wednesday morning we delivered your message demanding safer streets for all of Oakland; co-signed by hundreds of other Oaklanders and a diverse coalition; directly to Oakland City Council President Bas. She made a firm commitment to improving street & sidewalk safety in Oakland and we look forward to making sure the city government keeps getting the message and follows through on their intentions. The event was a huge success and Oaklandside, KPFA (see minute 52:53), KCBS, and KQED all covered it.
