Thank you for signing and sharing the petition to get safer streets in Oakland through smarter public safety spending. We will continue to press the city to redesign our streets and communities to be safer for all and you adding your name in supports is key to showing elected officials what voters demand of them.

But tragically, until those changes are made, our streets remain dangerous and there will continue to be victims of traffic violence. Recently, one of our our neighbors died on the High Street and 580-N crosswalk. We will be holding a vigil to say Not One More this Friday, February 24, 5-6pm. We hope you can join us either in person or in spirit.

In ten years, 37 pedestrians and 9 cyclists have been struck on High Street in Oakland. This intersection is deadly by design. Oakland can change this. Oakland MUST change this.

Stay safe out there, and thank you for helping spread the word.
