Back in September 2024, Ellen DeGeneres said that she is gonna be stopping her career after her comedy special, “For Your Approval” on Netflix. When I heard the news, it really surprised and worried me, thinking that she might even stop voicing Dory from Finding Nemo, so that’s when I decided to do something about this. I made this message for her. Scroll down to read it.

 

Hi, Ellen DeGeneres. You must've enjoyed voicing Dory from Finding Nemo. Everyone likes your Dory voice. I hope the things you said recently about quitting film and television work, and not doing Dory's voice again are not really true, even after your comedy special, For Your Approval, and the end of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Many people are fans of your work. There might be some people who are wondering something like, "Is Ellen DeGeneres going to do Dory's voice again?". Would you take their feelings in consideration before making your decision? I am also one of the people to like your Dory voice. You may have been asked this question before, but this time, it's phrased in a different way, with some convincing explanations.

 

Try to look back at the work you did. Great memories, right? It would be good to relive them again. Even Dory herself must've like you making her voice. As I've said, people may be wondering if you are going to do Dory's voice again, and I hope that you would. Jennifer Hale makes a good Dory voice, as she does it in video games, and in theme park attractions based on Finding Nemo, but I prefer yours, you gave Dory personality for her voice. It's really amazing. Sorry if my writing skills are not perfect. If you don't understand what I'm trying to say to you, the point is that I'm trying to be sincere to you, and help you not quit what is one of your best work. After all, Ellen, you are the original voice of Dory. If you're thinking about quitting film and television work, even voicing Dory, well... think again! If you really are gonna quit, that would be extremely sad. If you're gonna keep doing Dory's voice, that would be great. And are you gonna just leave Dory muted like that? Not to mention, that you are speaking in Dory's voice outside of the movie, which I have no problem with that. But people may want to know what you actually sound like. I mean, it's not a problem to reveal your real voice.

 

When you make Dory's voice, it helps making iconic quotes or scenes from Finding Nemo, like "Just keep swimming.", "I suffer from short term memory loss.", and also the speaking whale scene. By now, you have noticed that I think Dory should always be voiced by Ellen DeGeneres, which is you. Therefore, I'm not trying to be rude to you, don't you get it? I'm also one of the people who wondered that, too. Maybe someone would consider you to do character voices other than Dory, who knows? Whenever there's something new in the Finding Nemo franchise, like another movie, television series, video game, or theme park attraction, it would be great to have you voicing Dory again, even if you're at the age of 66 or above. Even if this message is sent to you late, you should still reconsider your decision. However, I'm letting you have your break from this work stuff, and giving you time to think about it. I know you already decided that, but you can still have your break. So what do you say? Will you able to return to film and television work, which would also mean get back to your career, especially making Dory's voice? I might say this to help you not quit. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming, swimming. What do we do? We swim, swim. Like I said, it's one of the iconic quotes from Finding Nemo.

ANOTHER PS - I understand that you wanted Kamala Harris to be president, but you could just forget about the voting of Donald Trump. Sure, you may sell your farm home, but you don't need to leave America. You might be scared to stay in the US, but try not to be. Reminder, if you don't like Donald Trump, try really hard to forget him, and move on. If you just go to the UK as a trip, then I'm okay with that. Maybe while you're in the UK, there would be something to help make you still be part of the production of anything related to Finding Nemo, because like I said, it would be still great if you continue being involved with film and television work.

 

YET ANOTHER PS - Well, what do you know? Seems like your retirement has stopped, because according to the IMDb page of you, it seems like there are three upcoming projects you're gonna be involved in. You are the producer or actor in them. That would mean you stop your career as a hiatus type of break, not for the rest of your life. When you say For Your Approval is the last time anyone is seeing you, that would mean it's the last time anyone is seeing you for now. Great job, I'm proud of you to have three upcoming projects, I'm sure you'll do amazing at them.

 

I even made this drawing for her. This is what I imagined if Ellen stops voicing Dory. For now on, Dory is muted, and had to communicate with signs, like the one she is holding in the drawing. You can even tell in the drawing, she is worried.

It would really mean a lot to me if you all share the image, even the message and drawing as well. This would help other people see them, and maybe Ellen herself would see it.

 

My message for the Ellen DeGeneres haters (This may be happening for a while):

Come on, you guys. Ellen DeGeneres really doesn’t deserve the hate. She deserves more love and less hate. Think about it, maybe all of the strange and negative things were things she did unintentionally. You guys are just being too harsh on her. On The Ellen DeGeneres Show YouTube channel, she may upload old videos of her career to get people to like her again. And according to the IMDB website, it shows that she has three upcoming projects. That would mean she stop her career as a hiatus type of break, not for the rest of her life. If she said her comedy special “For Your Approval” is the last time anyone is seeing her, it would mean it’s the last time anyone is seeing her for now. I would also say that Ellen DeGeneres deserves the praise for her work. Don’t try to use the hate on her. You may realize that Ellen is not really too bad, especially when doing Dory’s voice in Pixar’s Finding Nemo. I think it may be time for you to become Ellen DeGeneres Appreciators.
