Since I started this petition in early July 2022, High Point, North Carolina, dogfighter Toriano Cave has been busted with 15 pitbulls, and 19-year-old Monroe, North Carolina, dogfighter Joshua Mungo has been busted with 40 adult pitbulls and 10 puppies. When we have teenagers being busted for dogfighting -- with or without 50 pitbulls -- we have a dogfighting problem in this country.

The 65 pitbulls above are heading to shelters that are already full of pitbulls and pit mixes that no one wants, and one has to wonder how many "bait animals" obtained from Craigslist, Facebook, Next Door and other apps died to train them. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. The ASPCA and Best Friends Animal Society have long shown they have no interest in putting an end to their cash cow. Stop donating to them and donate to your local spay/neuter clinic instead.

Unfortunately, Dear Reader, it is up to YOU to not only sign and share this petition to get a lengthy mandatory minimum prison sentence for dogfighters and the people collecting bait animals for them, but it's also up to you to email your mayor, city council members, senators and representatives to ask them to put an end to dogfighting. They can start by increasing their Crime Stoppers reward for dogfighting tips and putting up billboards, as Florida is doing. They can also do once-a-month flyovers in search of:

Here in Cleveland, Ohio, where dogfighter Angelo McCoy has continued to kill cats and kittens since his third arrest in January 2020, we used to have news helicopters that flew over high-traffic areas to warn people about traffic jams. Surely, we can use a helicopter or implement a drone program to help prevent defenseless animals from being tortured.
