1. On 30 March 2017, Ebony Jermaine's sister and I attempted to ask for assistance from Senator Bernie Sanders office in Washington. Senator Sanders staff was very rude, when we tried to explain the situation the staff member replied “I will give the senator your message” and hung the phone up on us without asking for our contact information or follow up details or question whatsoever. 2. Also the arresting Kuwaiti officer in Jermaine's case was arrested in 2016 on charges of planting drugs in a separate case, the officer admitted he planted drugs. See the news paper article below... How is it that the Kuwaiti justice system based their decision for sentencing on this officer testimony? This same officer has proved he is corrupt without a doubt what so ever. Embassy staff visit on 11 April 2017 Embassy staff reported Jermaine did not have any immediate medical concerns. “Jermaine informed the embassy that he has hired a new attorney, and stated that the new attorney has identified many deficiencies in the defense provided by his former attorney.  A prison official said that Jermaine is going to be transferred to a different wing of the prison, since his sentence has been reduced from a capital sentence to life in prison.  He hopes to be moved to Block 4, which includes a work program (carpentry, etc.) that Jermaine would like to join.  Embassy staff communicated this preference to prison officials, who said it would be considered but it’s hard to get in and requires Wasta.
