The issue

The Omnipod5 is a wireless insulin pump that Type One Diabetics use as an alternative as opposed to a traditional wired pump or taking insulin shots. The Omnipod Dash and Omnipod5 systems both have a Person Diabetes Manager (PDM), which is a small phone that lets the user configure anything to do with their insulin. The issue is that many people face judgement from using a PDM, as well as it being extremely easy to lose compared to an iPhone or Android. With the Omnipod5 system, there is an app available for download (which removes the need for a PDM entirely) currently in the UK, but the Australian Government is denying it's use in Australia. It'd help diabetics feel less ostracised for using a different device, or help let them blend in better and not draw as much attention to themselves.
Sign this petition to show the Australian Government that diabetics across Australia will benefit from this.
Diabetics go through enough hardship as it is, help them need one less thing to worry about.
