I was going to wait till a bit later but I can’t shake this one off tonight. Yet another accident occurred this evening, this time it involved a pedestrian’s life. 

At approx. 6pm on Monday 4/11/22, a pedestrian was walking his two dogs on Barrows, about 1 1/2 to 2 blocks away from the roundabout. The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and shortly after succumbed to their injuries. This just so happened to be when my spouse was on their way home and ended up being the first on scene and provide aide. 

This victim was an asset to the community and part of a tight knit neighborhood; leaving behind a family who is experiencing grief that most of us can't even fathom. I’m seething that it’s come to this in order to demand preventive safety measures be put into place. 

We will be emailing the city council along with all other contacts we’ve made about this incident. In the interim, please pray/send love to this victim’s family and consider sharing this petition yet again.
